Breath, Movement & Your Pelvic Floor with Jennifer Gelfand, PT, DPT, E-RYT

Are you looking to discover a deeper awareness and understanding of your
deep core and pelvic floor and learn how to bring this intention into your
daily life and exercise? Have you experienced urinary leaking or urgency
and been told to “just do your kegels” but you don’t know where to start or if
“kegels” are truly the solution to your symptoms?
This class is hosted by Dr. Jenn Gelfand, PT, DPT, RYT, a Physical Therapist,
Registered Yoga Instructor, Barre Instructor, and
Owner of Root To RisePhysical

Therapy & Pelvic Health. She specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Dr. Jenn is passionate about educating and empowering people to optimize
their pelvic health through fostering greater awareness and intention. She
appreciates how connection to our deep core and pelvic floor enhances our
movement practices AND how incorporating movement into our regular
routine can lead to greater overall pelvic floor health and function in our
daily lives.

In this class, you will learn basic anatomy and function of the deep core and
pelvic floor, why your BREATH matters, common symptoms of pelvic floor
dysfunction, and when you should seek guidance from a healthcare
professional. Jenn will guide you through a gentle yoga practice to help you
apply these principles to daily movement.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels. If you are currently pregnant,
please obtain clearance to participate in general exercise. No previous yoga
experience is necessary.

Reach out to Dr. Jenn at
Jenn@roottorisephysicaltherapy.com with any questions. To register and pre-pay, contact Elizabeth at villageyogakennebunk@gmail.com or 207-423-0663.
