Important studio update!

It's been a challenging week at 153 Port Road!

If you haven't been to a class this week, you might not have heard about the mess. A clean water hose broke and flooded the entire upstairs except for the yoga studio. (It must be all that yogic energy protecting it!) The water then went through to the hardware store causing part of the ceiling to collapse. Needless to say, there is a lot of repair work to be done. The carpet has been pulled up and part of the sheet rock has been removed. The bathroom at the top of the stairs, where the leak started, has been taken apart. The bathroom by the studio does not have a working sink, but does have a working toilet. There is another bathroom at the other end of the building by the pilates studio that is fine and available to use. We have been teaching many of the classes in the studio during this work. I have 2 air purifiers in the studio. We ask that you close the door to the studio immediately after entering.

The landlords do not have a repair schedule yet. At this time, each teacher will decide whether or not to teach depending on what is happening with the construction. Elizabeth Spahr and Elizabeth Clarkson plan to teach in the studio whenever possible. Elizabeth Spahr will always be online for classes, even if she is not able to be in the studio. Susan Mirisola will decide each class day whether she will teach in the studio or not. She asks that you text her if you plan to attend in the studio (207-502-9006). Susan will be teaching on Zoom if not in the studio. The Restorative Yoga Class is canceled for October. The schedule page of the website will be updated whenever we need to cancel a class due to construction. Please check the page before coming to the studio for class, unless you have been in contact with the instructor. (https://www.villageyogakennebunk.com/schedule)

Thank you all for your patience during this challenging time.

Happy Fall!
